The main open spaces under control of the Borough are: Betts Park, Anerley, a 12.5 hectare, recreation ground with horticultural features; Crystal Palace Park; Goddington Park, Orpington, with 64 hectares including sports and wooded areas; Harvington Sports Ground, Beckenham, with 47.25 hectares of woodlands and open space; High Elms Country Park Local Nature Reserve, with 25 hectares of countryside; includes High Elms Golf Course; Hoblingwell Wood, St Paul's Cray; Kelsey Park, Beckenham, with 32.25 hectares of ornamental pleasure ground; Priory Gardens, Orpington, with 14 hectares, ornamental park; Riverside Gardens, Orpington; Scadbury Park, Chislehurst, with 300 acres (750 hectares) of lovely countryside.
