Befitting Royalty – The Royal Parks of London

Never has a touch of royalty been this easy, natural and good, luxuriously served in vast open spaces. A group of parks that has always been at the top of the priority list of tourists from all over are the eight Royal Parks of London . This used to be former royal hunting grounds of London s powerfully ancient movers and shakers of the society, but is now open to the public. The wide 5,000 acres of historic parkland provide everyone wider opportunities for enjoyment, exploration and healthy relaxation in the heart of the capital. This enjoyment can be taken in the form of a simple walk or a picnic in the park, leisure or competitive sports, top quality entertainment, community and education projects, rich history and architecture! The Royal Parks have tons of buildings, statues, and memorials, giving a fascinating insight into London 's heritage as a well as a touch of modern class.
Comprising the London Royal Parks are eight equally gorgeous spots that are interconnected to each other. The Green Park, St James's Park, Hyde Park, and Kensington Gardens form a green strand through the West End. Regents Park is on the northern edge of central London , while Bushy Park , Greenwich Park, and Richmond Park are located in the outer reaches. There are also many of the smaller green spaces in central London which are called garden squares. These squares were built for the private use of the residents of the elite of the then-fashionable districts. Some of these residents are now open for the public s perusal and enjoyment.
