Westminster Cathedral

The Westminster Cathedral was built in 1895. It is the mother-church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Westminster. It is also the largest Roman Catholic church in the United Kingdom.

The Cathedral structure is London 's only example of neo-Byzantine architecture; this makes it distinctive among all the historical structures of London . It is also made extra conspicuous by the bell tower that towers at a height of 274 feet. Visitors can take a lift up to the top of the tower to take in a breathtaking view of London . The Cathedral radiates a wonderful, somber atmosphere, making it a beautiful place for quiet contemplation. It is also a short walk away from the famed Westminster Abbey.
